Brother Foos is a man of many accomplishments, a true leader, and a dedicated servant to his community, country, and fraternity. Tom was a 1986 initiate of Alpha-Sigma chapter of Kappa Sigma. During his undergraduate years, Brother Foos showed immediate leadership qualities and a passion for the fraternity’s brotherhood. He served both as a committee chair of Alumni Relations as well as the membership’s Homecoming event. Brother Foos earned a BA in Political Science, which laid the foundation for the future.
Tom’s took up public service and held senior staff positions in both the Ohio Attorney General's office and the Ohio Governor's office. As Chief of Staff for the Ohio Veterans home network and Assistant Director of the Office of Criminal Justice Services, Brother Foos served at the forefront of initiatives that aimed to improve the lives of Ohio's veterans. Adding to his career accomplishments, Brother Foos served as the Global Security Manager of a Fortune 17 pharmaceutical distribution company.
In the continuance of excellence, Brother Foos co-founded ARMADA, Ltd., a prestigious consulting firm specializing in corporate safety and security. As the President of ARMADA, he continues to demonstrate expertise in the field and successfully guides the company towards success and recognition.
Brother Foos has also demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the democratic process. He served as a board member of the Delaware County election board and, notably, held the position of Executive Chairman of the Delaware County Republican party, where his leadership and strategic acumen were invaluable.
Tom is a Retired Lieutenant Colonel in the US Marine Corps. During his military service, he underwent several deployments, including OPS Desert Shield, OPS Desert Storm, and OPS Enduring Freedom. Notably, he commanded an infantry platoon during these missions, displaying bravery and fortitude in the face of adversity. As the Commander of US Marine Provisional Security Company (PSC), Brother Foos was a military member that protected Camp Lemonier in Africa, the only US military installation on the continent. He also oversaw force protection for the US Embassy in Djibouti, Africa, as well as the safety of US ships utilizing the ports in the region. His dedication to safeguarding America's interests was exemplary and reflected his strong sense of duty and responsibility.
During the mid-2010s, Brother Foos served as one of many advisory agents to Kappa Sigma. His commitment to the fraternity was unwavering, and he extended full support to the undergraduate program I AM KAPPA SIGMA, ensuring its growth and prosperity. Brother Foos has been a firm advocate of education and mentoring tomorrow’s leaders while they attend college.
In his current endeavors, Brother Foos looks forward to supporting multiple charities, his faith community and Capital Campaigns, further highlighting his dedication to making a positive difference in the lives of others. His multifaceted journey is a testament to his character, tenacity, and commitment to service.
