Ross McHenry'74

Brother Ross McHenry is recognized for his rich history of service, leadership, and success in various fields. He served as Grand Treasurer of the Alpha-Sigma chapter of Kappa Sigma during the 1976-77 academic year and demonstrated his commitment to the fraternity by assisting a young, incoming Executive Committee with a knowledge of the Kappa Sigma House Company. Brother McHenry gave pivotal insight to the newly formed Alumni Board of Control, guiding the chapter's transition from an active chapter to one under Trusteeship.

Brother McHenry achieved his undergraduate degree in Biology at The Ohio State University. The academic journey of Brother McHenry continued with his Pre-Med degree from OSU. He went on to graduate from the University of Cincinnati medical college, specializing in Gastroenterology. His medical expertise led him to complete his residency at Indiana University Medical, becoming an MD in Gastroenterology.

Ross's professional achievements in the medical field are numerous and equally impressive. He held numerous significant roles, including Chairman of the Department of Medicine at William Booth Memorial Hospital. He served as President and VP of Medical Staff at St. Luke Hospital. Brother McHenry also served as Medical Staff President and Board Member at St. Elizabeth Medical Center. Furthermore, he achieved the esteemed position of President and CEO of Tri-State Gastroenterology Associates, further showcasing his leadership capabilities.

Ross's dedication to the community and philanthropy is commendable. He was a high-level capital campaign contributor, supporting various causes and initiatives close to his heart. Together with his wife, Lois, Ross hosted alumni get-togethers on OSU home gamedays from the Red Roof Inn on Olentangy River Road, fostering a sense of camaraderie among fellow alumni. Many of the get-togethers are among the 70s decade of brotherhood.

Family bonds are high on the list for Ross. It should be noted he shares his Kappa Sigma connection with his cousin Marshall McHenry, who is also an Alpha-Sigma chapter initiate. During his time at the university, Ross met Lois Perkovich, who was a Kappa Sigma Little Sis. The two married and have remained a dedicated couple throughout the years in raising their family.
